Anshumalee Sood took up the study of Vedic Astrology as a hobby since 1996. He pursued Jyotish studies at Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Delhi and qualified as `Jyotish Acharya' having completed his `Jyotish Alankar' well enough to earn himself a gold and silver medal in the process. Amongst other things, his areas of interest include Mundane astrology and Financial astrology.
Besides being the publisher of “Vedic Astrology”, a bi-monthly edited by Dr.K.S.Charak, he has regularly contributed to various publications like the Jyotish Digest, The Vedic Light and of course, his regular contribution for Vedic Astrology. The subjects he has written on include, application of astrology on identifying the Indian Stock market turning points at the macro level, the historic US presidential election in 2000, etc.
Apart from astrology, Anshumalee Sood is a consultant in environmental engineering. He is a well qualified professional (B.Tech Civil Engg., M.Tech Structural Engg. and M.Tech in Management, all from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India). He is married to Seema, a doctor & medical author and has a school going son Kanak, who is in his early teens.
